Fixing to move to Celina? Get the services sorted before the moving truck rolls up.
For a Celina move, start with the exact property address rather than a neighborhood's marketing description. The useful question is who serves this home, and from what date. Work through each service independently.
Start at the city's water-billing page
Celina's water-billing department handles city water, wastewater and refuse accounts. Its official page links to the online start-service process. Verify that the address is eligible for city service, then save the application confirmation and the requested start date. A submitted form is worth keeping; a confirmed activation is worth checking separately.
Ask about the services you will use
A practical call or email to the provider should cover the first bill, any required deposit, collection arrangements and how to report a missed service. Do not rely on the previous resident's collection day without confirming it for the address. If a homeowner association supplies separate instructions, keep those alongside the provider's information.
Confirm school assignment before enrollment
Use the school district serving the property to verify enrollment and campus assignment. If the home is served by Prosper ISD, its current enrollment page is the starting point. Do not assume that a Celina mailing address alone selects a district or a campus.
Make the first week manageable
Our suggested order is utilities first, school documents second, then the daily routines: the school route, grocery trip, library information and the path to work. Test those trips before the first busy weekday if you can. Record remaining questions in a shared note instead of relying on memory.
Keep dated photographs of the move-in condition and written confirmations from the landlord, seller or builder. They provide a clear record of what was present when you took possession, without depending on a recollection weeks later.
Explore local activities and business coverage
DFWChild’s Celina and Prosper guide is a useful starting point for family outings. Celina Watch’s June 5 business roundup shows how a local blog follows new businesses; treat its opening forecasts as dated reporting. For swim lessons, use MSB Aquatics’ Celina Station page to reach the provider directly. Our kids’ activity guide distinguishes verified published prices from programs where you need a current quote.
