Moving during the 2026–27 school year means choosing Celina ISD's current new-student enrollment process, verifying the address and confirming the student's actual campus. The district's enrollment page has a 2026–27 new-student link, separate from the returning-student and sibling process. Start with the district's enrollment page
First confirm the district and the application type
The district says students of qualifying age living within its boundaries are eligible to attend. A Celina mailing address or a listing that says “near Celina schools” is not an enrollment approval. Use the district's linked attendance information, then resolve an uncertain address with the registrar before relying on a campus assignment.
Our school-address verification guide explains that first boundary check. This article adds the district's document, timing and grade-configuration details for a family applying during the current year.
Gather the records the district lists
The enrollment page requests a birth certificate or passport, immunization records and the enrolling parent or guardian's picture ID, plus court documents concerning parental rights where applicable. Its accepted residency documents include a current electric or water bill, current lease agreement or closing documents.
For a home purchase, the FAQ directs families to provide closing documents clearly showing the home's address within district boundaries. It does not establish that an unsigned purchase plan, a builder's forecast or a future closing automatically grants enrollment. Ask the registrar which documentation fits your situation before arranging a start date.
A submission is not the final campus confirmation
For complete registrations submitted during the school year, the page says to expect contact within three school days. It describes a different period for applications for a school year that has not yet begun. These are the district's published expectations, not a guaranteed approval deadline for an incomplete application.
The registrar's confirmation follows processing and approval. The page also says the campus will discuss secondary class enrollment after registration is completed and approved. Y'all should keep that distinction in mind before promising a student a particular schedule or first attendance day.
Check the fifth-grade and Pre-K details separately
The district's grade-configuration FAQ addresses fifth graders at Willard Middle School, including a bilingual program and a shared campus bell schedule. Its general enrollment directory still labels some elementary listings PK–5 while listing Willard as grades 5–6. Confirm the current grade placement directly rather than resolving that mismatch from an older directory label.
The FAQ describes AlphaBest at Willard as something the district and provider are working to determine; it does not confirm an available after-school place. Pre-K qualification is also separate from ordinary K–12 enrollment, and the FAQ says qualifying Pre-K families receive campus notification after enrollment, based on program location and capacity.
Before the first school day
Confirm the campus, grade, start date, class-scheduling contact, transportation and any child-care arrangement with the appropriate district office. Use the current 2026–27 links: one returning-student FAQ answer on the page still references 2024–25.
For out-of-school options after the move, our Celina kids guide covers local outings and classes. District sources were checked October 15, 2026. This is a midyear enrollment guide, not a new boundary vote or a guarantee of admission, transportation or child-care capacity.
