Summer Moon's Prosper café has a reported November 7 grand-opening date, but its soft opening remains undecided. Community Impact's October 16 report by Jenna Stephenson attributes the date to a company representative. Treat this as an announced plan, with the final location details and operating hours still to confirm before a trip.
What the new report establishes
Community Impact says the representative confirmed the grand-opening plan by email and said a soft opening would depend on construction. We did not conduct that exchange. No soft-opening date is confirmed in that report, and a November celebration should not be interpreted as proof the café is already serving customers.
For Prosper residents watching new businesses along US 380, the useful distinction is between the announced celebration and the first ordinary day of service. Save the planned date, then check the operator before making it a stop on the school run or a weekend outing.
A state filing identifies the project, with an address discrepancy
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project record, registered May 4, identifies “Summer Moon Coffee Prosper TX,” a 1,970-square-foot renovation at 4325 W. University Drive, Suite 10. It lists a $350,000 estimated construction cost and a review-complete status.
The news report prints 4325 E. University Drive, Suite 10. Because the directional street label differs, we are preserving that discrepancy rather than silently choosing one as a verified customer destination. Confirm the café's exact entrance and map pin with the operator when its Prosper listing appears. The construction estimate is a project filing, not a customer price, final bill or certificate that the café is open.
The filing's August 21 completion date also should not be substituted for an opening date. A planned construction milestone and an announcement about public service answer different questions.
Where to check before leaving home
Use Summer Moon's official location finder and official website. At our October 16 check, searching the locator for Prosper returned nearby Celina, Frisco and McKinney stores without a Prosper store entry in the displayed results. That is a limit of the listing we saw, not evidence that the reported project has been cancelled.
Prosper hours, opening-day promotions, local drink prices and final mandatory fees are not verified. Prices or service features at another Summer Moon shop are not a quote for this future location. We also have not verified a Prosper drive-through, seating capacity or opening-day giveaway.
Keep this separate from businesses already open
Our Gap Factory update concerns an operating store at Gates of Prosper. The Summer Moon report is a planned opening at a different project. Neither establishes the other's hours or location.
For a family outing that does not depend on a new café opening, the Prosper kids guide has other local options. Y'all can keep the coffee plan flexible until the operator publishes its final details.
Sources and next check
Sources were checked October 16, 2026. The November 7 date is explicitly attributed to Community Impact's company-sourced reporting. The state record independently identifies the construction project; it does not independently confirm the celebration. We will update this article when reliable current information resolves the address discrepancy or establishes the first service date and hours.
