The Melissa Education Foundation's cornhole fundraiser is Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the Z-Plex Tennis Courts, 4220 E. Melissa Road. The organizer's registration form lists a 12:30 p.m.–4 p.m. event window; Melissa ISD says registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and games begin at 1 p.m. The advertised team-entry price is $50 per team, with final checkout charges still needing confirmation. Team entry and family attendance are different questions
The district's September 24 announcement and the organizer form agree on the $50 team listing. That is a team-entry unit, not a verified per-person admission price. The accessible listing does not establish team size, age restrictions, spectator admission, parking charges or a complete refund policy. Confirm those details with the foundation before paying or treating the whole afternoon as free.
We checked the public form without submitting an order. An empty form's zero-dollar totals do not prove that processing fees or tax will be zero for a selected purchase.
Optional purchases are separate
The form offers additional merchandise and fundraising purchases. Do not assume a basic team entry includes food, drinks, shirts or raffle entries. The page has different shirt listings, so confirm the exact selected product and price at checkout rather than treating every shirt option as interchangeable.
Sponsorship packages are also different from ordinary participation. The foundation advertises packages beginning at $500, with benefits varying by tier. A sponsorship price should not be used as a family's entry budget.
What the afternoon includes
The organizer describes cornhole, bounce houses, food trucks and raffles. Melissa ISD's announcement also invites families to attend. The confirmed game start is 1 p.m., not the beginning of the 12:30 p.m. registration window.
Neither source gives us a guaranteed game count, a detailed bracket, the last check-in time, attraction age limits or an itemized food menu. Ask those questions when registering if they determine whether the event fits your family.
Where the fundraiser's support goes
The foundation identifies its work as scholarships and classroom grants for Melissa ISD. Its mission page describes support for students and teachers. That explains the local purpose; it does not establish that every dollar of a particular purchase goes directly to a classroom.
The Melissa Gazette's October 8 preview helped surface the outing. For price and check-in timing, the linked district announcement and current organizer form provide the specific details.
Before heading to the courts
Y'all should save the organizer link, confirm your purchase or registration, and check for changes before travel. A weather-refund or cancellation policy has not been verified. Do not import another tournament's terms just because it uses the same sports complex.
Our Melissa kids guide offers separate park and class choices; the weekend calendar lists other dated outings. This event's sources were checked October 16, 2026. We have not attended the tournament or independently inspected the venue.
